Holiday Gift Guide: To Mom, with love
If you're like me, then you're saving those extra-meaningful holiday gifts for last. This for me means my mom. If you need ideas for the ladies in your life that have maturing skin, I've got some of my favorite products that will make excellent gifts. These products are often used on my clients who have skin that is in need of more hydration, correction and a youthful radiance. And as I'm looking at the picture above, I just realized I completely forgot to add one of my all-time favorites! Let's actually begin with that one...
Many women experience skin issues like Rosacea, hyperpigmentation and dullness as their skin ages and this product helps to mask them all. It quickly works to correct these issues and can also double as a foundation primer.
I've pushed this product in previous posts and I'm doing it again because it's totally worth repeating. Especially if you're mom loves wine! This mask uses natural ingredients like resveratrol and wine extracts to hydrate, reduce wrinkles and firm skin.
3. Benefit They're Real Mascara
I like to recommend this product because it curls lashes also, which is a necessity for sagging eyelids in order to lift and open up the eye. Once this mascara is on it doesn't flake or weaken and it also comes in fun colors, like the blue one pictured above, if your mom is looking to try something new.
4. Radical Skincare Youth Infusion Serum
I recently came across this at Sephora and if I had to pick one splurge item from this list, this would be it. Currently, you can purchase it for $95 at Sephora when it normally runs upwards of $175!!! You will for sure be getting the favorite-child title if you give her this one. It's amazing. Trust me.
5. LAQA&CO Fat Lip Pencil in 'Ring of Fire'
One of my tips I often share with my mature skin clients is that bright lip colors will bring lots of life and youthful color back to their face. I love this pencil because it allows them to control the amount of color intensity and it's also keeps lips hydrated. This beautiful, classic red looks great on all skin tones too.
This clear pencil is a primer that works excellent on blurring fine lines around eyes, forhead, and mouth, and it also keeps lip products from bleeding into those lines around said area. It also works as a lip primer. It's a great multi-tasking product and would be a great pair to the Lip Pencil above!
Toners have a shady past but they have redeemed themselves recently with gentler formulations that don't strip the skin of natural oils. I love this one because it's an exfoliator which helps to brighten and smooth skin. It's often sold out at Target so if you see it, grab it!
8. Chanel Le Blush Creme De Chanel in 'Affinite'
What mom wouldn't want Chanel? She deserves the splurge...you know it. I love this product because it goes on like a cream and dries like a powder but it gives a 'glow from within' look which makes it worth every penny. It works amazing on mature skin.
9. Physicians Formula Shimmer Strips Eye Enhancing Kohl Kajal Eyeliner Trio
These eyeliners are perfect for creating sultry eyes that sparkle. They are sold in threes based on eye color so it's a no-brainer. Mine are perfect for brown eyes and I use them to create multiple looks. Plus, they qualify for the Ulta coupons!
10. Charlotte Tilbury Magic Cream
It lives up to it's title. It's magic in a jar and your mom will absolutley love it's hydrating and plumping qualities. It preps skin perfectly for foundation applications and is something mom would not normally buy for herself.
